We currently take CareSource, Medical Mutual, and Cigna.  We also take straight Ohio Medicaid

What will the session cost for me?

Medicaid CareSource clients have no fee for services.

Each person's Medical Mutual plan is different; it is your responsibility to find out if you are covered, if you have a copay or deductible.  

For those affiliated with hospitals with Medical Mutual:

Southwest Gen- deductible and copay

Lorain Hospitals- not covered

MetroHealth Select plan- not covered

Mutual Health Services is a branch of Medical Mutual and we do accept this; each plan coverage is different as well.

To find out what you may owe, find the Member Services number on the back of your insurance card.  Call and ask about your benefits; specifically mental health.  Tell them you will see an in network provider (EIN 82-1617913 if they ask) for in office outpatient visits.

How does couples or family counseling work with insurance?

Each partner does not need to have insurance.  One of you is considered the target client; the sessions will be billed under target client and will be coded as Client present with family/other.  You may have an individual therapist AND a couples therapist.  Each of those services is coded differently.  You are able to see both the same week.  Please let us know if you are already in individual counseling when seeking out couples or family therapy with us.

Do not ask your insurance if couples counseling or family counseling is covered.  They will tell you no.  Those terms are not used in their coding.
